Humana ASL Health Library

Funded by a grant from Humana Communities Benefit in 2010, a media center was established on the 4th floor of our headquarters building housing computers, a small conference room set up and a wall monitor for C-Print (speech to text) projection. The computers are for public use by individuals in the Deaf Community who may not have internet access in their homes. Health related ASL videos, dvds and books are also available through the media center and Community Services for the Deaf (CSD) department.

The goal for establishment of the media center is to increase health literacy and decrease health disparities in the Deaf Community for Individuals who live in Cincinnati by providing easy access to information in American Sign Language.
