Stories
David, age 6, needed hearing aids with newer technology to let him hear through all the noise at school. At his critical stage of development, hearing is essential for learning and growing as a person. When David’s family could not afford the new hearing aids, your donations made it possible. David is now gaining the knowledge and confidence he needs. You can see it in his smile!

Jina, a toddler, is recovering from a disease that affects her ability to talk. She requires intensive speech-language therapy to learn language. Your support of the Center is providing the help this child needs for therapy twice a week!
A Deaf man’s mother died and he was worried that he would not be able to thank people who did not know sign language for coming to her memorial service. Through your donations a sign language interpreter was provided. The man said later how meaningful it was to “hear” through the interpreter all the wonderful things being said about his mother.
Testimonials
"I wanted to thank you for your generous donation in our time of need. Because of you my son will get the appropriate help he needs for communicating. Regular therapy provides him the opportunity to advance in everything. His confidence and learning are growing stronger every day. Once again, thank you for your kindness" (written by the mother of a child receiving free speech therapy…funded by an anonymous donor)

"…I explained the situation to Melissa. She explained that Audrey needed as much therapy as possible to have the best chance at life. She also said don't give up, she would write some letters. I appreciated her efforts, but did not get my hopes up, until I checked my voicemail and heard the message that Melissa had found a private donor to pay $5,000 for therapy for Audrey. Melissa has changed Audrey's life, and restored my faith in humanity. Some people have a calling for what they do, and I assure you that Melissa is one of those people. My child loves her dearly. For changing Audrey's life, so do I" (written by a mother whose child has received private funding for speech therapy)
