Annual
Fund:
The Center accepts gifts of any amount throughout the
year, but has a special campaign during the late fall
of every year. We send out letters and make personal visits
to friends of the Center asking for their support. You
can donate to the Annual Fund at any time. All donations
will have tax-deductible benefits to you and you will
be acknowledged in our Annual Report.
Memorial/Tribute
Fund:
The Center frequently receives gifts in honor of significant
events in people's lives…a birthday, anniversary,
graduation, or in memorial tribute. These gifts are
also tax-deductible and a letter of acknowledgment regarding
the contribution will be sent to both the donor and
the designee/family.
Major
Gifts:
The Center maintains an up to date list of current "major
projects", such as building renovations, instrumentation
and equipment needs and new programs requiring start
up funding. The Director of Development and Executive
Director are happy to meet with anyone who has an interest
in making a major gift to the Center, including one
to our Endowment Fund.
Special Events:
HSDC holds a benefit gala "The Mardee Dinerman
Wachs Volunteer Service Award" to honor the important
work of volunteers. The award is named in remembrance
of Mardee Wachs, former board member of the Center and
advocate for individuals in need of our services. The
award is given to deserving volunteers who have demonstrated
the character, enthusiasm, integrity and commitment
that shaped Mardee's life and work. Individual, foundation
and corporate sponsorships are available to support
this important event.
