Testing Services

Evaluations are conducted in a sound treated test suite for persons of all ages, including newborns. Otoacoustic emissions testing is used with young children and difficult to test populations. Hearing assessments are also conducted in conjunction with pediatric speech-language evaluations to rule out hearing loss as a contributing factor in a speech-language delay/disorder.
Services that are delivered in the community include hearing screenings of preschool children, school aged children and adults. These can occur at health fairs, senior centers, schools, etc. Portable equipment is also brought to nursing homes to complete full evaluations for patients who can not easily be transported to the Center.
